The representation of a face as a mask is one of the artist's main motifs. The term is metaphorical: she herself has repeatedly used it unexpectedly to identify graphics that emphasize a stronger typification of the individual. In this sense, her masks are an abstraction and development of the deeper concepts of Commedia dell’arte. This gallery features works with a formal designation as »mask« recorded, but also faces or busts that rely on stronger means of alienation than the portraits.

These are very extraordinary personalities. Boxers, conceits and snobs, kings and the lady in pink, which the artist created in five minutes to satirize an expensive painting. There is also a very private picture that is based on a photo. I swim in the Old Danube directly opposite the UN building in the summer of 2012.

There are six different motifs here in the Apparitions theme world. There is something mysterious and dreamy about them. Yes, the interpretation of dreams, for example - a mask and yet a vision. Also a garishly painted mask with hallucinogenic looks. Or how about the spiked head who wears a variety of hats.
