Torso [“Torso”] № 59, 2016
Medium: Vector Graphics
Variations: 257
Created: 2015-2016
The Torso comes into shape in 2015. She was created for a theme exhibition in the City Gallery Bremen. The artists were asked to exhibit their interpretation of a torso. Irmela Witteberg decided to present a modern interpretation of the classical theme. She took the outlines and filled them with the imaginable colours and ornaments. Remember the art theory and let your eyes wander from pedestal to top. You will notice, that the use of line a nearly perfect. In the exhibition, the artist presented her torso against a lime green background. You can find her on page 17 number 1. But for herself, the artist adorned her torso with multiple background, which we present you on the gallery sites. This series with the fantasy leaf comes into shape in 2016. They are one of the last images. Enjoy the incredible brilliance and the harmony of the colours.
