»Sole of the Foot Mask« № 5

Description

Like with a great brush and with four paintbox colours, the artist outlined her mask. The main axis is a red diagonal stripe with mouth, nose and one eye. Immediately a face smiles, hesitant, almost timid. Its eyes are drawn almond-shaped, but the pupils are shaded rings to intimate an eye movement. Big triangular lips and brows give the impression of a clown of a clown. At least interesting is the background. It is a mosaic of different stripes with circles and bizarre ornaments. The eye tries to sort the forms, to find a system in the topsy-turvy – in vain. The background seems like a curtain; behind them a strange metropolis opens its doors.
