Grass Flowers
The goal: to contemplate the simple beauty of growing things. To that end, my image generator Grass Flowers randomly builds up a profusion of coral-hued swashes. Terminating in inky tendrils, the strokes give the effect of grass swayed by the wind. Interestingly, the composition seems to balance itself without me doing much in the way of controlling parameters.
I was thinking on the lines of hanami1 plus fireworks, with a hint of modernist advertising. I am still surprised how much carpe diem the primal vocabulary of tapering line and gradient exudes. The radiant colors of Grass Flowers balancing exuberance with delicateness make me think twice before treading on leaves of grass again.
